FIELD DAY WITH ADAPTED PE
MORE PHOTOS
Rain and mud didn't stop more than 1,000 students, staff members and volunteers who gathered at Walter Hall Park for the 2017 Field Day with Adapted PE. For more than 30 years, this event has offered CCISD students with disabilities a field day full of activities accessible to students with all ability levels and physical limitations. High school students in the Peer Assistance and Leadership (PALS) and Best Buddies programs operated the booths and made sure the students had a great time. They ended the day with a giant dance party to celebrate another successful year of the event.
WALKING FOR A CAUSE
Victory Lakes Intermediate's student council and National Junior Honor Society hosted a Mononucleosis Awareness Walk to help students identify the effects, symptoms, and treatment of Mononucleosis. This project allowed students to ask friends and relatives to pledge money for their walk, and they ended up raising $2,500 to support the Christy's Wish Foundation.
