Addicted
By: Bryan Henson
Soccer is like a drug; I just can't get enough.
When I play I smell the fresh air going through my lungs.
I feel the breeze hitting my face.
I taste the excitement on my tongue.
I touch the ball with love and I see the goal so near to me.
I hear a voice telling me not to stop.
As Manuel passes the ball all the fans in the Allianz Arena are cheering for me,
But we weren't at the Allianz Arena;
We are just at the park.
My addiction to soccer has me locked up,
We ran one hundred miles per hour.
Even the ball was telling me to stop.
You don't need rehab for this drug.
Ode to My Cell Phone
By: Breanna Herrera
Cellphone, oh cellphone, oh how I love you.
Just like my heart, you keep me going
I love you more than Donald Trump loves spray tanning,
At times you are drier than the Atacama Desert.
How can we not forget about all the times you have knocked me out Canelo knocked Khan out.
I simply like you because you have more talents than a Barbie-
You're white, whiter than my Nikes,
Your insides, oh your insides, are nothing like you looks.
You are beaten down on the outside, but string in the inside.
Ten Little Lines
By: Robert Morales
Her smile was as bright as the sun.
It shines on everything which is blinding.
Her voice like roses gently growing on my ears.
Her laughter feels to me like Christmas morning as a kid.
Divergent on a Friday at the Maya.
Her smile was more than blinding actually.
The bright paint of happiness being lathered onto my mind.
She gently floats above me.
The sky kicks its shoes off and calls it a day.
Her smile now not as blinding but even more satisfying.
Love is a Camera
By: Gabriela Arias
Love is a camera.
I capture its moments as life passes by,
And hear the camera click.
I see the image of love being captured
It's almost as if I can touch the emotion.
I smell the sweet smell of love,
And taste the sugar of its vine,
I see the camera as it captures its moments of love.
The moment of Aiden Taylor and I,
On a dinner date by the beach in the Uptown bar.
We weren't at the Uptown bar though,
We were in the Spago restaurant in Beverly Hills.
It was a fine wine of love.
I sat there capturing the moments,
While Aiden drank the wine of love.
It spilled and took us to another place,
A place where birds chirp and love fills the air.
