We want to send a giant
thank you to
everyone who attended our Baine's Bash Gala last Saturday night. It was a wonderful evening for Heartland's animals and people. A special thank you to our presenting sponsors, National Guardian Life and the Levy Giving Fund, for their generous and kindhearted support. We also want to thank our media sponsor, Magic 98, and Ginger Martin for being our wonderful and entertaining guest emcee!
Together we were able to raise almost $90,000 for our animal rescue efforts, therapeutic and educational people programs, and most urgent barn needs! It was a huge night for Heartland!
Gala guests enjoyed Baine's "Champagne" cocktails (with spirits donated by the amazing folks at Yahara Bay Distillery!) and mingled with our animal guests on the red carpet. Guest of honor Baine the goat, along with Cookie the dwarf horse, Percy the pig and Reuben the rooster were the stars of the evening and loved all the extra love and attention from guests! And a special thank you to our auction donors for making this year's silent auction one of the best yet. From animal art and jewelry to beer tastings and even a full-size basketball hoop, our auction had it all!
And thank you to our wonderful guest speakers of the evening: Madison Levy, Dr. Kim Kelly from the UW-Madison School of Human Ecology & Heartland volunteers Paula Mansholt and her daughter, Nina! You all really made the night extra special.
Special shout-out to Ale Asylum for donating the local brews for our "Moo for Booze" winners! Those guests really "mooed" their hearts out and were rewarded with beer for their entire table!
