President's Message

Mary Freeman
Hello, Fellow Members,

Your chapter was honored to host another exceptional luncheon presentation by Monica Egert Smith, Chief Relationship Officer, and Carolyn Newham, Sr. Director of Donor Relations & Fund Administration, with the Communities Foundation of Texas. Their presentation on Donor Advised Funds provided an in depth view of how these funds can support your organization's mission. Be sure to check our website for upcoming events - your chapter will continue to offer programming to support your busy summer.

We are excited to announce that the new one day CFRE Refresher Course will be presented on Thursday, May 18th, click here to learn more and register today. Building on your five-plus years of experience, this new interactive format assists you in applying fundraising theory, skills, and techniques of the 6 knowledge domains of the field. I encourage you to join me in obtaining your CFRE. I waited over ten years to achieve this credential and regret that I didn't do it earlier in my career. The journey was not easy, but it provided me with renewed self-confidence and focus on building a strong base of knowledge.
