An worthy opportunity to help young women!
One of the guest speakers at this year's Metropolis Clergy/Laity Assemby on Friday afternoon will be Allison Meyers, the Director of Street's Hope. You may have received communication from National Philoptochos last year introducing Human Trafficking as a new initiative. The goals is to help victims of human trafficking by working with agencies that assist these victims.
Street's Hope is a local Denver area non-profit agency which provides holistic restorative services to adult women escaping sex trafficking and the commercial sex industry and nurtures the resilience needed to heal, transform and thrive. They began this work in 2004 and have continued to grow and develop as an organization over the years, implementing evidence-based and trauma informed services. Now, as the only residential program serving adult women in Colorado, they aspire to continue to grow and spread education and awareness.
Our Metropolis Philoptochos has asked that each member purchase a $25 gift card to either Target of Walmart, which we will then give to Allison for the women at Street's Hope.
We can accept your donation at the Philoptochos table or via our credit card link at the end of this calendar. Please make sure to state in the memo section that it is for Street's Hope and we will purchase the gift card for you.
