Principal's Message

Highlander Families,

At seemingly light speed, we have reached the end of the 1st semester.  It has flown by, and I am proud that our students fought to finish strong, earning a well-deserved break.

I hope you and your family have a wonderful, safe holiday together full of your favorite things, and a happy new year as well.  If you get a chance, see "The Last Jedi" too--it's a fun ride.

See you in 2018!

Principal's Snapshots
Highlander talent on display! The Highlander Chorus put on a spectacular performance during yesterday's assembly.

Kind notes from the WEB Leaders after the assembly:

Spirit Week was an incredible success!

Our first PBIS drawing winners won a pizza lunch!

Global connections: Mrs. Moffat's students Skyped with a classmate who has travelled to Israel for the holidays! Research and collaboration still happening with her being ten hours ahead of us. Tech rocks!

Congratulations to our Hewes Hockey team for capturing the school's first championship in the Anaheim Ducks Jr High League by defeating defending champion, Lakeside of Irvine, by a final score of 7-4. Our 8th graders started the hockey program when they were in 6th grade here and went 0-10 the first season and then had a record of 2-18 after two full seasons. This championship with students on the team from all three grades now proves that hard work and commitment really does pay off. Congratulations Highlanders Hockey!

Friday Fun Day Squad!

FRIDAY FUN-DAY VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

Anyone want to help out on campus Fridays from 12-1pm?

We'd love to have you!

Every Friday we will be asking two parent volunteers to check-out play equipment to our students.

There is a cart located in the closet behind the quad stage. Once you have the cart, simply roll it out and offer the equipment to the students. They will hand you their student ID in exchange for the equipment, and hand the equipment back in to retrieve their ID. Super Simple!

An umbrella and chairs will be provided for your comfort. I'm happy to answer any questions you may have at (714) 350-0967.

The kids are super excited about this and we all GREATLY APPRECIATE your help!

Congratulations! Now onto Fourth District Judging!
