The Saint Nicholas Choir Sings This Sunday
The Saint Nicholas Choir always brings a smile to my face. I suspect you've been similarly moved. There is an innocence and joy in those five to seven year olds that is a window into God's love. For the past six years we've enjoyed the choir's inspirational singing under the direction of Melissa Schultz, one of this area's most talented musicians. When you see young children standing up in front of several hundred people, singing their hearts out, you gain a sense of the gifts Melissa brings to her work. The mother of two young children, Melissa has been engaged in that difficult balancing act between family and career. In addition to her work at Saint Paul's Church she also maintains a full schedule as a singer, teacher, vocal coach, and Musikgarten specialist. Because of all these demands on her time Melissa and her husband, Greg, have been working on reorganizing their lives with an eye to more quality family time, something all of us can relate to. Sadly, the Saint Nicholas Choir is one of the things Melissa must give up, and her last Sunday with us will be Easter Day. The good news is that Melissa will continue to join us as a soloist from time to time, and for that we are grateful. She has been a friend and colleague, and an inspiration to our children. We rejoice that she, Greg, Timothy and Ellie, will have more time together. We look forward to honoring Melissa at the 9 am Easter Sunday service. In the meantime the search is underway for a new Saint Nicholas Choir director. We pray that God will bless us as we develop the talents of our youngest children.

The Master's Table Soup Kitchen at 702 Fenwick Street will be staffed and sponsored by Saint Paul's Church volunteers Saturday, April 22. The Prep Team works from 8:15 - 10:30
AM
. This is a great opportunity to get to know other parishioners while chopping, stirring, and preparing lunch.
Please note a change for this ministry in 2017. Because this is an extremely gratifying experience, the Soup Kitchen has more servers than they need. Therefore, the Saint Paul's team will prepare lunch only, to give other groups an opportunity to serve. Since persons under age 18 are not allowed to work in the kitchen, this opportunity will now be limited to adults only. Contact Marilyn Grau for more information or to volunteer.
