Foundation Day Mass & Street Party!

After celebrating all-school Mass together at Annunciation Church, marking both May Crowning and the Class of 2017's last all-school Mass, the entire school gathered together to recognize some of the outstanding achievements that took place this year. A special congratulations to Coach Perez for receiving the 2017 Jeanne de Matel Award! The afternoon was spent celebrating IWA's Foundation Day with a street party on Jackson Street!

It's the final countdown to the 2017 IWA Legacy Gala and Auction! We are so excited to "Raise the Roof!" tomorrow to celebrate our new academic building and the great accomplishments of our student body. Even if you cannot attend the gala, click through our online auction catalog and bid on items from home! There is truly something for everyone this year and remember-every dollar raised goes back to the IWA students so bid often and generously!

Mothers Club Installation Luncheon | MAY 3

All parents are invited to the Mothers Club Installation Luncheon on May 3rd at 11:00 a.m. at Incarnate Word Academy. Please mark your calendars as we will install our new Mother's Club Board. We welcome current and new parents to be a part of this event. You will have a chance to view all of the Mother's Club events for the 2017-2018 school year and enjoy one of our last socials before summer break. Junior/Senior Prom | MAY 5

This year's Junior/Senior Prom will take place at the Asia Society Texas Center on May 5, 2017 from 8:00pm - 11:00pm. Lock-in will be from 8:30 pm - 10:30 pm. Seniors will not have school on Friday, May 5th because they won the Raffle classification competition. Juniors that purchased tickets to the prom will be dismissed at 11:00 am.

Annual Run4Unity
| MAY 6

IWA Teens4Unity is hosting its annual Run 4 Unity! Run4Unity is an international event, where people of all ages pass a virtual baton from one time zone to the next in a 24 hour relay to bear witness to their desire for peace. Houston is one of the cities to kick start the 6th international Run4Unity. Participants will have options for various mini fun runs according to age and ability. They will show their commitment to peace through their participation in this international relay with participants of various nationalities and faith groups. Run 4 Unity is on Saturday, May 6th from 2pm to 5pm in Memorial Park. Click here f or more information and for registration. We hope to see you there!

Summer Opportunity: Urban Plan

JUNE 12-16

Rising sophomores, juniors and seniors are invited to participate in UrbanPlan, a summer program held at IWA from June 12-16 that exposes students to the career component of our thriving downtown neighborhood, urban planning. Students interested in participating must Contact Mr. Richardson for more information on the application process.

Information for Juniors about Senior Portraits | JUNE & JULY

IWA Juniors MUST go to Freeman Photography's studio over the summer to have their senior portrait taken for the yearbook. Juniors were given flyers on senior portraits this week. Read more information about signing up for senior portraits and package information here.

The IWA Publications class is hard at work on the 2016-2017 yearbook. Our yearbook, called The Margil, is made possible through the support of parents and businesses who buy advertisements. If you are interested in purchasing a message for your daughter or a business advertisement in the 2016-2017 yearbook, please follow the directions found here. Senior Parents - this is a wonderful opportunity to commemorate their senior year!

Join us this summer to experience team-building fun at Incarnate Word Academy's Falcon's Nest! We offer volleyball camps to help middle school and high school students develop leadership skills, practice athletic fundamentals, and connect with other students!
