Superintendent Hopson and the rest of our leadership team strongly believe that the greatest investment we can make in our students is an investment in our teachers. You deserve, and we are finally able to deliver, a competitive and consistent payment structure that provides every teacher with an opportunity to earn annual base salary increases, as well as stipends and bonuses. 

Under this system, next school year, a teacher could receive a performance-based salary increase of up to $1,500, $1250 for an advanced degree stipend, $750 for teaching a hard-to-staff subject and even more for coaching or working in a Critical Focus or iZone school. In addition, you now have an elevated salary maximum of $73,000, but you can still earn stipends and bonuses beyond that amount!

This is only Phase I of our plan to invest in and reward our top-performing teachers. We will continue our work to ultimately include opportunities for teacher-leader and hybrid roles.
