Explore the Outdoors:
 Kansas City

CFM's 3rd annual Explore the Outdoors: Kansas City turned out to be a great event. The rain kept some people from attending the event at the Kansas City Zoo, but those who braved the elements enjoyed the wonderful experience.

The dinner portion of the event took place in the Penguin House. It was neat to sit at a dinner table with penguins swimming right next to you. Stacia Pieroni, the zoo's Conservation Manager, gave a great presentation on what the Kansas City Zoo is doing across the world to benefit wildlife.

Explore the Outdoors: Kansas City brought new members to CFM, helped us raise critical funds and gave the Kansas City Zoo, one of our very important partners, an opportunity to share some of their resources and success. It was a great event across the board.
