DEVELOPING AND MANAGING THE FUTURE OF APARTMENT HOME LIVING
December 2017
Dear FJG Family,
With the holidays upon us and 2017 drawing to a close, it's a great time to reflect on this unforgettable year.  I'd like to start by telling you how much I appreciate each member of TFJG team.  I recognize that we wouldn't be where we are without the contributions made by each and every one of our employees.  We have thrived because of your hard work and dedication. I am grateful for your tremendous efforts and wish you all a joyous holiday season and a Happy New Year!

Sincerely,

Taylor Franklin

The Most Wonderful Time of the Year
Portfolio Manager, Diana Cruz and her team gathered to celebrate the most wonderful time of the year at the 4-H Center in Wakefield, VA. The day was full of laughter and joy that included an award ceremony that everyone in the portfolio voted on, ugly sweater fashion show, raffle prizes, and a maintenance dance off competition. Diana said, "I was able to express my greatest appreciation for the most wonderful team. Thank you for all your hard work and dedication to your communities. I am proud to call you my team."

Be the Solution Winners Solution
Congratulations to the following team members for taking extraordinary measures to  Be the Solution  at their communities:

Amaisa Scott, Relocation Specialist, Fort Chaplin
Amaisa was nominated by her Regional Manager, Lizzie Smith-Brown, for her commitment to customer service and her strong work ethic. Amaisa is constantly on the go and never stops until she leaves for the day. She is constantly helping residents move into their temporary guest suites, and back into their renovated units. She takes time to make sure all residents fully understand the (often complicated) relocation process. Recently, she stayed well past closing to assist a resident, and ensure the entire schedule stayed on track. Amaisa exemplifies our teamwork core value in everything she does. Thank you for being the solution!

Eric Taylor, Maintenance Supervisor, Luna Pointe
Eric was nominated by his Community Manager, Rachel Bryson, for going above and beyond his normal duties and being a team player. Recently, Luna Pointe has been experiencing a ton of traffic from prospective residents stopping in for packages. On a day where the office had more traffic than usual, Eric stepped in and gave a tour to a prospect and ultimately gained his business. The gentleman that Eric helped explained to Rachel that he was blown away by Eric's initiative and know he had found the right community for him. Thanks to Eric's "teamwork" attitude, Luna Pointe is able to continue to shine as a great community that always provides world class customer service.

Jae Mitchell, Leasing Specialist, Banyan Grove
Jae was nominated by his Community Manager, Jessie Sholar, for his "go getter" attitude and strong work ethic. Jae is new to the industry and since hired in August, he has been an unstoppable leasing agent. His natural ability to connect with anyone that walks through our door and his ability to sell just about anything, has contributed so much to our office. His first week, Jae achieved 4 leases in one week. Along with helping increase revenue for our property for being a rock star leasing agent, his personality and hunger to add positivity to our office is greatly appreciated. His willingness to learn the industry, along with securing leases week by week, as well as maintaining his day to day responsibilities, exceeds our expectations for a new leasing agent.

Chris Smith, System Administrator for IT, Corporate
Chris was nominated by Mary Mitchum, Marketing Manager, for his helpful and dependable work ethic. Mary wrote: "Chris was able to help the team hours early before the Holiday party and ensured everything went smoothly. I did not have to worry because I knew I could depend on Chris if anything were to go wrong. Every time I interact with Chris, he doesn't hesitate to help out. We are lucky to have his knowledge and helpful attitude at TFJG"
Spreading Holiday Cheer
Thank you to our teams for sending holiday cheer. May your holidays be filled with happiness, health, good cheer and warm of family.

Salvation Army Angel Tree
Every year in December, more than 60 businesses, churches, corporations and vendors across Hampton Roads display an Angel Tree for children registered with The Salvation Army. Community members choose to adopt or shop for children in need during the holiday season. Thank you to each team member who helped support six lovely angels this Christmas.

Santa Claus is Coming to Town
Santa Claus made an early appearance for all the residents at The Woodlands at Phoebus in Hampton. He was checking his list, and checking it twice.

Toys for Tots
Banyan Grove Apartments in Virginia Beach had a special Scout Elf delivered from the North Pole to help Santa Claus manage his naughty and nice lists. Their Elf had many tasks to get completed in the leasing office, but his mission was to help collect items for Toys for Tots. The Team and their Elf were able to collect many toys during the month and distributed those toys as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in the community.

'Tis The Season
'Tis the season to spread a little laughter and joy! The team at River House Apartments in Norfolk spread holiday cheer by asking residents to attend their Annual Ugly Sweater Christmas Party. The event featured cookie decorating, holiday craft stations, entertainment, and much, much more!

Santa's Workshop Greenwich Village
The wrapping station was fully stocked at The Greenwich Village workshop for all residents to enjoy. The elves enjoyed wrapping many gifts while listening to one of the Greenwich Village resident's Holiday music.
