PTSA Campus Improvement Work Day
|
|
Be a Part of Campus Improvement Day!
The 1
st
Annual Campus Improvement Day is Saturday May 6
th
from 9 am-1 pm. Don't miss our biggest ISPTSA event of this school year. Campus Improvement Day is going to be full of hands on, community building fun! Because of the overwhelming responses to the Campus Improvement Survey, we have clear direction from you and Campus Improvement Day is step one in ISPTAs commitment to working together as a community for the enhancement of our school.
The district is supporting our event by allocating two maintenance supervisors who are prepping and planning for the day and who will be with us on May 6
th
to keep us on task. You spoke, the district heard, and now it is time to join friends for food, socializing, and rolling up our sleeves to improve our school.
On May 6th, we will kick off our annual tradition by improving the main entrance, sixth grade locker bay entrance, courtyards, and plantings. If you are not able to attend the event there are spots to sign up to bring, or drop off, tools (e.g. shovels, rakes, hoses, and wheel barrows) or you can donate to help fund supplies (look for information in next week's MM).
We'd love to see 100% participation!

Titan Players Give Big Thanks to PTSA
Thank you to the PTSA for the generous support of the Titan Players' spring production of The Little Mermaid!
Without the support of the PTSA's grant, this amazing production would not have been possible to the phenomenal level that was presented. This was truly a monumental production. The cast and tech crew, totaling over 60 students, representing every grade from the 6th graders in their first production through our seniors who have been on the stage for years, memorized countless lines, painted yards of coral, surf and seaweed, sang and danced for hours, all to be able to give a mermaid her lost voice.
The students worked incredibly hard and the show was amazing. The PTSA grant was used to create the staging and scenery, as well as the purchasing and creation of over 100 truly lovely costumes.
On behalf of the entire Drama Department, THANK YOU!

Titan Robotics Compete in FRC World Championships
International School's TRC (Titan Robotics Club) #492 had an amazing FRC World Championships competition this past week! A first-ranked alliance, made up of Titan Robotics and three other teams from California, Colorado, and Chile, won five playoff matches in a row, A mechanical issue, however impeded movement to the finals.
It was an amazing year, winning the Glacier Peak District Competition, Semi-Finals at the Auburn District Competition, Semi-finals at District Championship Competition, and ranking #8 for the Pacific Northwest District. (That's #8 out of 160 teams in Alaska, Washington and Oregon.)
This success has the team more inspired to do it all over again next year! Watch out world, the Titans will be back! Thank you to Lee Holt, our faculty sponsor, and to the other teachers and administrators that support TRC students and the absences required to attend these events!
