April showers bring May flowers, I'm sure you've heard this one but it's also an exciting month as we transition season to season and throughout life.
Transition Month in tennis is where fall seasonal court/sea pro renewals take place, adult & junior clinics wind down and USTA Adult League play is building excitement as rosters become finalized. It's also when we start to organize for the fall and fine tune the summer. Three new faces on the YTC scene are worth saying hello to.
Martin Byrne will rejoin our teaching staff come September 2017 and is one of the most dynamic and positive professionals that's walked thru our doors in my 31 years at YTC.
Alexa Goldberg is a rising star who started at YTC in our junior program and returns to share her knowledge and enthusiasm.
Oto Enukidze will stay with us for another month and you will get a serious workout in one of his sessions, you don't play Davis Cup for the Republic of Georgia without training hard. They'll be more to come in May and we're excited about the " buzz" we hope to create.
April is also watching two feet of recent snow melt and parents, like myself, negotiating with my teenage son's summer work thoughts and my college aged girls, hopefully, coming home for the summer and keeping me up at night. We wouldn't have it any other way, I love April!
Read thru the following edition and you'll be inspired, you may find an idea for your child's summer plans and how about that Ben Chin! April is also " National Stress Awareness Month" nationally, what better way to alleviate stress than visit YTC and spend time with us on and off the court!
Happy Passover and Easter from ours to yours.
