Q1 FINANCIAL UPDATE
As of March 31st:
- the donations received for Q1 were $99k compared to a budget of $88k
- the total income was $167k compared to a budget of $159k
- the total expenses were $146k compared to a budget of $167k
- there was a net surplus of $21k compared to a budget net loss of $15k for Q1.
The reason for the surplus as at March 31st is that the spending on capital projects and building maintenance has not yet occurred.

Self-Care Practice
Through Labyrinth Walking
Monday April 24th – 1 pm,

Especially for those in health care, social services and ministry – gather with like-minded colleagues, find refreshment and sanctuary, participate in the guided practice of walking meditation in the labyrinth, take time for renewal and return to work with increased capacity.

HIV/AIDS has not disappeared from Ottawa. For many years people at St. John's have supported local service organizations by eating out at participating "Taste for Life" restaurants.
On April 26 several of us will be gathering at the East India Company on Somerset St.
Please Mary Frances Marshall or the Office if you would like to be included in the St. John's reservation.

FOR AFFORDABLE HOUSING

Multifaith Housing Initiative’s annual fund raising walk helps provide good quality, affordable housing for low-income households. Make a donation to the St John’s Team (tax receipts for $15 or more) and, if you are able to do so, join the walk! Members of the team will be at the Loblaws Gift Card table during coffeetime after the Sunday service to receive your cash, cheque (payable to Multifaith Housing Initiative) or pledge.

Worship that Works is this year’s theme of our diocesan gathering. There will be four worship experiences, of which you can choose two in which to participate. Our own Gordon Johnston is helping with the one on music!
