Request for Qualifications: Faith Ministries seeks artist(s) for mural at the Hartford Hub

Artists are invited to submit qualifications for a mural on an exterior wall of the Hartford Hub playground, located at 1035 North 6th Street, Lafayette. Artists will work with Hartford Hub Summer Campers and neighborhood youths to design and complete a community and family-centric mural. 

Project Timeline: 
  • May 19, 2017 (4pm): Qualifications Due
  • June 12, 2017: Mural work begins. Artists may work with summer campers in the afternoon, M-F
  • August 5, 2017: Mural Unveiling/Celebration
Project Compensation
  • Up to $3500.00 honorarium available for supplies and artist fees.

About Hartford Hub
The Hartford Hub is a community outreach facility operated by Faith Community Ministries located in the Lincoln Neighborhood of Lafayette's north end at 1103 N 6th Street. The Hartford Hub meets community needs for supervised youth activities, gathering spaces, and a general center for community resources. More information is available at 

About the Tippecanoe Arts Federation
The Tippecanoe Arts Federation is the umbrella organization and arts council for 14 counties. TAF provides educational opportunities in the visual, performing, and literary arts, outreach programs for both underserved and at-risk youth, and funding for capital and operational expenses to fellow arts organizations region wide.
