UW #6 worldwide for public administration 
The University of Wisconsin-Madison ranked sixth for public administration in the inaugural Center for World University Rankings (CWUR) by subject area, released in April 2017. The rankings for 227 subjects are based on a 10-year average of publications in top-ranked journals. Read more
Associate Director Shager honored with Early-Career award
Hilary Shager (MPA '05, PhD, '12) of the La Follette School of Public Affairs received an Early Career Academic Staff award from the Letters & Science Professional Development and Recognition Committee on April 13. Read more
Summer policy course meets ethnic studies requirement for undergrads
The La Follette School of Public Affairs' first summer public policy course will examine inequalities across various social dimensions with a focus on disparities among racial and ethnic groups. Read more

Students' research for AARP shows modest increases in workers' retirement savings would save state $3.1 billion in 2030
Even modest increases in the net worth of those who save the least for retirement would greatly improve retirement readiness and reduce government spending on public assistance programs, according to research conducted by La Follette School faculty member J. Michael Collins and three graduate students on behalf of AARP Wisconsin. Read more
