Mr. Bob Halloran
Bob Halloran is an award winning journalist, accomplished author, movie consultant and sports writer.  He currently works full time as a Sports Anchor at WCVB Sportscenter 5.

Bob has been a supporter of our Chamber for several years and was at our  Annual Meeting  last year as well.  Bob has written several very popular books including "
Irish Thunder, The Hard Life and Times of Mickey Ward
", which was later used for the screenplay & movie, "The Fighter", starring Mark Wahlberg and Christian Bale! 


He just released his latest book, "Count the Rings", which is available on Amazon and is an illustrated celebration of all of the sports championships between the 4 Boston teams.  Bob will have copies of his book available to purchase and autograph.

Mr. Dana Barros
Dana played basketball at Xavarian High School in the Boston area and then on to Boston College, where he played from 1986-1988.  He continued on to bigger and better basketball, playing for the Boston Celtics from 1996 -2000.  Dana played 14 seasons in the NBAas well as in 5 playoff games.  
He even achieved the title "All Star" in one of those years.

Dana Barros Basketball Club is a multi-million dollar facility right here in Stoughton (where Bay State Ford was on Washington St).  As you can see above, their Official Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting 
is on the Saturday before this meeting.  Dana
 will be talking a bit about Business After Basketball and we will have time for some Q&A towards the end of this event.
 
The SCC Annual Meeting Luncheon itinerary is as follows:
  • 11:30am: Light networking and cash bar
  • 12:00pm: Lunch will be buffet style (always delicious)
  • 12:30pm: Introduction of the 2018 SCC Board of Directors
  • 12:45pm: Bob Halloran will speak and introduce Dana 
  •  1:00pm: Celebrity Guest Speaker Dana Barros
  •  1:30pm: Some Q&A
The cost to attend this meeting, which includes a delicious dinner and two wonderful guest speakers

Dana Barros 

is a former professional basketball  player with the National Basketball Association  (NBA).  He is a highly respected professional that played 13 years in the NBA, held a three-point scoring record for 19 years and was voted to the All Star Game Other distinctions include an NBA season averaging over 20 points , a 50 point NBA game against a team that won the Finals and being selected to participate in the three-point contest during the all-star weekend on three separate occasions .


Dana played at Boston College, finishing as one of the school's

all-time leading scorers.  Prior to the introduction of the three-point line, he played for Xaverian High School where he had 57 points in a state playoff game.

 
After the NBA, Dana has worked for the Boston Celtics and as a coach in various positions.  He is the founder of a youth organization called Jr. BALL Academy.  He leads the nightly clinics, supports our brand extensively and is a constant presence on the sidelines of many teams at their tournament games.  Dana was born in and raised in Boston, lives with his wife and kids in Easton, MA.
