An exciting first quarter of 2017 here at Ardea Arts, rehearsing and producing the World Concert Premiere of Kitty Brazelton, George Plimpton, and my ANIMAL TALES, which took flight on March 25th out in Tom’s River NJ. We partnered with the Garden State Philharmonic, performing to a full house at the beautiful Grunin Center for the Arts.  An exciting night for all. During this time we also managed to perform two concert presentations of BOUNCE The Basketball Opera here in New York, integrating basketball percussion in duet with our Spoken Word Artist. Now onwards -We look forward to updating you during this last year of creating BOUNCE – stay tuned! Look below to see what's coming up next!! FIREWORKS. Hope to see you there.

Animal Tales
Ardea Arts  in partnership with  The Garden State Philharmonic  presented the World Concert Premiere of  ANIMAL TALE at The Jay & Linda Grunin Center for the Arts. The performance was received warmly by the audience.

ANIMAL TALES, written by George Plimpton, composed by Kitty Brazelton and directed by Grethe Holby is a wacky, rambunctious and inspiring opera/musical about daring to be different, overcoming stereotypes and finding purpose and happiness in life.
The commissioning of Kitty Brazelton for Animal Tales received funding from OPERA America’s Opera Grants for Female Composer Program, supported by the Virginia B. Toulmin Fundation.

Ardea Arts is pleased to announce that Hunter Opera Theater (HOT) will present the New York Theater Premiere of FIREWORKSA one-act opera, FIREWORKS is a comedy and social commentary seen through the eyes of an intergalactic de Toqueville (IT) who travels to Earth to investigate why colored lights erupt every year at the same time and from the same place on a planet orbiting a star in the heavens.
