Thank you for making 2017 another "new year" for new music. We traveled far,
brought many composing friends home to Philadelphia, and sent our music
and message across the world through many new recordings.
Join us in a taking a quick look at what made 2017 an amazing, exhilarating,
complex year - a nice balance to the loud media noise that seems to buzz
around us at all moments. We are grateful to the entire team and family that
are The Crossing and help make a little sense out of that noise through
new works that speak to the issues of the day.

Our second Grammy-nominated CD, Gavin Bryars'
The Fifth Century, is an ambitious work for choir and saxophone quartet that sets text from 17th-century English poet and theologian Thomas Traherne's
Centuries of Meditations.
Premiered with PRISM Quartet in 2014, the album was named one of The Top 10 Classical Recordings by The Chicago Tribune in 2016. The Fifth Century is released on the ECM New Series and marks the first full ECM album from Gavin in decades.
