Yom HaShoah Holocaust Remembrance Day Commemoration

Yom HaShoah is an opportunity to remember victims of the Holocaust and focus on preventing genocides and other human atrocities from happening again. The program will feature the subtitled documentary 
Holocaust - is that wallpaper paste? The documentary is based on journalist Mumin Shakirov's mission to educate two Russian sisters on the subject of the Holocaust.
Complimentary shuttle service from Plummer Park will be provided beginning at 12:15 p.m. To reserve a spot on the shuttle, please call the City of West Hollywood's Recreation Services Division at (323) 848-6479.
Immediately following the program, the complimentary shuttles will return to Plummer Park, where a candle lighting ceremony will be held outdoors at the Babi Yar memorial.

The 2nd Annual Los Angeles Women's Theatre Festival - Brava! A Day of Theatre

"BRAVA!" A Day of Theatre, is a series of diverse theatrical solo performances in celebration as an extension of the 24th Annual Los Angeles Women's Theatre Festival (LAWTF) Sunday, April 23, 2017, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Macha Theatre, 1107 N. Kings Road, West Hollywood, CA 90069.  Tickets for all five (5) performances are $25 a pair and $15 for one ticket.  There will be a 15 minute intermission between each solo show.

12th Annual South East European Film Festival

The 12th annual South East European Film Festival (SEEfest) will take place between Thursday, April 27, 2017 and Thursday, May 4, 2017 at locations in the City of West Hollywood, and surrounding areas.
This year's SEEfest will feature more than 40 recent films from South East Europe, including features, documentaries, shorts, and animation. The festival promotes cultural diversity and serves as a cultural hub to South East European independent artists and filmmakers who live and work in the area.

Join Equality California for a day of lobbying on a variety of issues important to the LGBT community including healthcare, education, HIV/AIDS, and transgender rights. They will also be focusing on additional intersectional issues such as criminal justice and immigration reform.
LGBT Advocacy Day participants will receive training on legislative priorities and how to advocate for these priorities. Every participant will then engage in face-to-face meetings with California legislators and their staff, urging them to pass critical legislation that will protect and expand the civil liberties of all Californians.

The Mango Wonder Hotties are at it again at Bowling for Angels! Come as your favorite superhero!   There is no registration fee this year and you only need to raise $50 to join the fun.

By participating, you will get to eat, drink and bowl at the event with friends like me and other Project Angel Food supporters. Most importantly, you will directly support Project Angel Food's meal delivery program through which nutritious meals are delivered free of charge each day to men and women debilitated by critical illness in Los Angeles County.
