Oregon Mission Trip 

The Oregon Mission Trip has been postponed.  
We are hoping to make it a go next summer, in 2018.

The Florida Pathfinder & Adventurer Department invites you to participate in a mission trip to Bend, Oregon, July 9-16, 2017.  The focus will be to take part in outreach projects, with Bend SDA Church and other nearby churches, to help launch/promote local ministries.  Total cost of the mission trip is $950.  Limit of 20 attendees.

FOCUS
The Mission trip to Bend, Oregon will focus on working with Bend SDA Church and the other churches within one mile of it, to conduct Impact Bend.  The Impact project will take the format that has been used in our state Impact projects (Orlando, Miami, Fort Lauderdale & Tampa).  Young people from the Bend Church and other local churches will attend.  In total, there will be between 50 and 100 attendees. 

All attendees will have the opportunity to take part in outreach projects, that will launch or promote local ministries.  This could include ministries such as: food bank, feeding the homeless, VBS, health expo, drive-by prayer and many more.

ACCOMODATION
Accomodation will be at the Three Sisters Adventist School.  The school does not have a dormitory, and thus we will be sleeping in the classrooms.

TRANSPORTATION
Transport around Oregon will be in 7-seater minivans, rented from Budget Car Rental.  All drivers are over the age of 25 years.

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN PRICE?
The total price includes travel, accommodation, t-shirt, insurance, a contribution to the mission project, and meals (in Bend, Oregon, but not in transit to Bend).  Attendees should bring spending money for items not mentioned above.

MINORS
Minors that are 14 years or older are permitted to be a part of this mission trip.  Medical consent must be signed in case emergency treatment is needed.

INSURANCE
Insurance is provided by Adventist Risk Management (ARM).

PHOTOGRAPHS
Video and still imagery will be taken at this event, and used in printed promotional material, and on the internet.

PRICING AND CANCELLATION
The retreat is $950 per person.  This price is made up of two portions - the flight, which is $550, and $400 for everything else.  $950 is an approximate price, and may vary, according to the price of flights.  The variation is +/-$100.  We estimate that $950 is a reasonable expectation.

A deposit of $400.00 is due by May 30th.  The balance of $550.00 is due on June 15th.

No refund will be granted if plane tickets have been purchased.  No refunds after May 15.  If there is a medical reason for not traveling, then this may be claimed using the travel insurance policy.  We cannot guarantee that ARM will pay any request.

Places are transferrable, and a subsitute person can attend after notifying the Pathfinder & Adventurer Department.  If there is a transfer free charged by the airline, then the registrant is responsible to pay this fee.

**Remember as you pack, that there is a weight limit of 50 pounds per bag. Each participant is allowed two bags for free.

Any charges/overages for luggage would be at the participants own expense.
