These brief "classifieds" are intended to keep the members of the Diocese abreast of programs and activities in our parishes, share position openings throughout the Diocese, and to let others know if we have excess good/items they might be able to use. As in many "Classified Ads", articles should not exceed 150 words in length (total, and no graphics) and may be submitted to J.D. Lafrance ( [email protected] ) no later than Wednesday 10 a.m. each week for distribution via e-mail to the Diocese later that day. Text should be in the body of an email or in an attached Word document. Philadelphia Theological Institute Easter Retreat - Let Him Easter in Us
May 7-10 | Sun dinner until Wed after lunch | Daylesford Abbey | $450 (includes meals, room and tuition) | Registration.
There are a few spots left for this Eastertide retreat with Bishop Frank Griswold and Barbara Braver at Daylesford Abbey.  Bishop Griswold and Barbara Braver have led PTI's most popular retreats over the last dozen years and Daylesford Abbey provides a peaceful and comfortable setting for spiritual renewal, quiet time and learning in the company of a small group of other retreatants. The retreat will begin with dinner on Sunday, May 7 and conclude following lunch on Wednesday, May 10 .

Saturday, April 29 , from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., bring your snack appetite with you to Our Poetry on the Mic, (openMic) at House of Prayer Episcopal Church, Church Lane at Limekiln Pike, Philadelphia, PA, 19141. Forums/Discussion Groups

Holy Spirit, Harleysville will present a three-part series on "Our COHS Community and the Opioid Epidemic" at the Adult Forum on Sundays, April 23 and 30 and May 7. Holy Spirit's Marc Andonian, Ph.D., will address the nature of addiction, one of the major health crises of our times since deaths related to opioid use have reached epidemic proportions, on April 23. Beverly Haberle, MHS, LPC, CADC, who has 40 years of personal and professional experience advocating for people dependent on alcohol and other drugs, will present on the process of recovery on April 30. The series ends May 7 when Marge Hanna Zeig, who leads the pastoral care ministry at the church, will join with others to lead a conversation about how we as individuals and a community can make a difference in the face of this crises. Food

St. Stephen's Episcopal Church , 199 W. Baltimore Ave, Clifton Heights will hold a Meatloaf Dinner on Saturday, April 22 from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. The meal will include Meatloaf, Mashed Potatoes, Vegetable, Dinner Roll, Beverage and Dessert. Church Services

Christ Episcopal Church, Media collected 25 hams and Easter food bags for the Second Time Around parents program of Family Services of Delaware County. Join us for Worship in the Eastertide. Services are at 8:00 and 10:00 a.m. Nursery care is available for the 10:00 a.m. service.

St. Alban's, Newtown Square , offers parish hall as "Alban's Garden" for party rental space, Friday nights and Saturdays.  Accommodates a maximum of 130 for sit-down or buffet meal. Adjoining kitchen is commercial facility enjoyed by many a caterer. French doors open from hall onto patio onto country setting of expansive grounds with shrubs and trees...lovely and green late spring through early fall. Items purchased by churches / clergy for ministry purposes will receive a 10% discount; and those purchases will be tax free. All proceeds from items sold will benefit St. David's outreach programs in Haiti, Uganda and Guatemala. Musicians

Minister of Music at St. Thomas' Church, Whitemarsh . St. Thomas' Church seeks to build a highly-participatory music program for its 1,400-member congregation and 105-member preschool centered on Episcopal hymnody with diversity of music, including world music, and graded choirs for all ages. We seek to build our program with the growing numbers of children and teenagers in our parish and involve as many children, youth and adults as possible in our music ministry. To reach our goals, we seek an exceptional musician, who shares our goals and can build an outstanding music program, help us increase worship attendance and membership and enrich each parishioner's spiritual journey. Youth/Family Ministries

Director of Children & Youth Ministries at Saint Thomas' Church, Whitemarsh. To develop and grow effective Episcopal youth and children's ministries which support, challenge, and encourage discipleship. Be passionate about children, youth, and family ministry. Present Jesus Christ to our children and youth in engaging and appropriate ways, and help them to grow as Christian disciples.
