Meditate with Earth Day Yoga
Friday, April 21 from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm
This Earth Day, why not gather your friends together for a rejuvenating yoga and meditation session at sunset on the beautiful and peaceful grounds of Reeves-Reed Arboretum?
Claire Diab, of the American Yoga Academy Studio, will demonstrate mantra meditation, breathing techniques, chakra toning, and the six directions. These powerful breathing techniques help to purify and cleanse your lungs, which in turn purifies and nourishes every single cell in your body.
$20 donation per person. CASH ONLY. Payment will be collected at the workshop as the event is weather-dependent. Please check our website for weather updates. Registration is not required.

Flowers in Art! A Newark Museum Lecture
Thursday, May 4 at 7:00 pm
RRA joins the Speakers Bureau of the Newark Museum in presenting, FLOWERS IN ART!, a lecture about nature, particularly flowers, in paintings, sculpture, folk art, decorative arts and in jewelry - all from the Newark Museum collections. The lecture will focus on paintings and drawings from Colonial botanical explorers to modern artists, addressing the aesthetic and cultural priorities reflected by the artists' unique vision. The presentation will be led by the Museum's Judi Robinson, formerly a third grade teacher in Summit, now living in Madison, New Jersey.
Each attendee will receive a special Newark Museum packet which includes a free pass to the Museum good for six months.
