Special thanks to all who participated in our music ministry program during Holy Week. In the 8 days from Palm Sunday through Easter Day, we had 5 services with music. 25 people assisted in music ministry including the Adult Choir, Children's Choir, Hand Bell Choir, and instrumentalists. The choirs sang/performed 34 pieces of music! Thanks to all for a job well done! ~ Sean Glennon, Music Director

ROAD TO RESPONSIBILITY FUNDRAISER
On March 22nd, two wheelchair accessible vans used by Road to Responsibility were burned and are a total loss. Transportation is a big part of what the organization provides for people, and being down two wheelchair accessible vans will be a big loss for Road to Responsibility. The vans are used to get some of their most disabled individuals out into the community. They provide transportation for people to appointments, including physical and occupational therapy, and job training programs.
Chris White, long-time member of St. Andrew's, is the President/CEO of Road to Responsibility and we would like to lend a hand in replacing those vans.
During the month of May, all money collected as Plate Funds will be donated to this cause. (This does not include Pledges.) Any checks should be marked "RTR Vans" in the memo line. Also, below you will find the contact information if you would like to make a direct donation to Road to Responsibility.
Direct donations can be made to:
Serenity Belo, Director of Development
Road To Responsibility, Inc.
1831 Ocean St.
Marshfield, MA 02050
Thank you to all for participating in this effort to support a member of our St. Andrew's family and the Road to Responsibility program which is so important to so many in the community.

ONGOING WAYS YOU CAN BE A PART OF ST. ANDREWS:
Being a part of a Church Family means there is always room to be involved and lend a hand. Here are some ways you can lend your time or talent to St. Andrew's this fall:
ACOLYTES: Anyone in grade 2 and up (YES! this includes ADULTS!)
can
serve as an Acolyte. If you or your child would like to serve as an Acolyte, please contact Gary Innes to see what dates are available. Remember, children who serve as Acolytes also attend Church School, so they won't miss out on the fun!
ALTAR GUILD: The Altar Guild is actively looking for new members to join our ministry. Altar Guild is responsible for the care and setting of the altar each Sunday including all special services for holidays, weddings, baptisms and funerals. The Altar Guild operates with teams of four to five members who are on duty for a month several times throughout the year. During that month, it requires an individual time commitment of about 1-2 hours which includes setting up ahead of and cleaning up after services. New members work closely with experienced members until they are comfortable with the care of the altar on their own. Please contact the office if you are interested in becoming a member. We would love to have you join us!
COFFEE HOUR FELLOWSHIP:
A cookie, a cup of coffee, and a smile can go a long way!
The coffee will already be on, so the hard part is done! Grab a friend or two and help keep this special time of fellowship going.
If you are interested in hosting an upcoming Coffee Hour, please call or email Carole in the office for available dates.
LAY READERS / CHALICE BEARERS
:
The role of the
Lay Ministry in our parish
life is to represent the lay fellowship of Christ during ou
r
worship services... either reading Bible passages, leading prayers, distributing the wine, and occasionally acting as acolyte, when necessary. We'd love to have more people to read...you wouldn't need to act as Chalice Bearer or sit at the altar. We'd especially like more readers for the 8 o'clock service. Contact Karen Troupe if you're interested or have any questions at:
[email protected]
