ANNOUNCEMENTS

The Goods and Services Auction will be Saturday, April 29  at 6:30 pm.  Don’t miss the fun and festivities! We need your bids and donations. Check the Parish Hall for more information on the special South Africa Photo Safari land package valued at $5,900, and an additional list of auction items to date.  One half of the winning bid price will come to the church.  Can’t come?   Absentee bids by e-mail are welcome.  Contact  Deanna Riley.

The Alliance of First Parish of Norwell is promoting “Stuff a Grocery Cart” to benefit the Norwell Food Pantry on Sunday, April 30.  By doing this, the Alliance is honoring the memory of Barbara Meacham, a long-time member of this church and a dedicated member and President of the Alliance.  The food pantry was Barbara’s special cause, carried on by her son David Meacham who picks up our donations.  Please leave your non-perishable items in or near the grocery cart in the foyer on April 30. Thank you for your support!

Please save the date and join us for our final church event celebrating our 375 years!  Come join us on Saturday, May 6 from 5:30 to 8 pm in the Parish Hall for a meal featuring the tastes of 1642.   This is an intergenerational event, fun for all ages!   There is no charge for this event, and it is “BYOB”.  Carol Neely and her team will be reaching out to church members for help.  In order to determine how much food we need to prepare, please RSVP to Hope in the  Church Office no later than Friday, April 28.

Come help clean up our own backyard!  Let’s put on our FPNUU 375th shirts and our gardening gloves. We’ll walk and clean up our part of River Street. We’ll start at Main Street (Route 123) and go down River Street as far as Forest Street. Meet at the church at 9:30 am on Saturday, May 6 to pick up trash bags and latex gloves.  We suggest you bring your own thicker yard gloves, and a long stick to get into/under bushes.
