All-Star Sprint  I-79 Summer Shootout Returns
Guys Mills, PA --   The Second Annual I-79 Summer Shootout featuring Tony Stewart's Arctic Cat All-Star Circuit of Champions Super Sprints will return to Western PA on Friday, July 21, Saturday, July 22 and Sunday, July 23.  The three-day event will kick off at the Eriez Speedway (Hamot, PA) travel to Pittsburgh's Pennsylvania Speedway (Imperial, PA) and conclude at Tri-City Raceway Park (Franklin, PA).

"The inaugural I-79 Summer Shootout received positive feedback from the race teams as well as the fans so the owners and promoters at all three facilities felt it was important to make this an annual event," stated Tri-City Raceway Park promoter Chad Wagner.  "The close proximity of the speedways makes this event attractive to the race teams as well as the fans and we are looking forward to making the 2017 edition of the I-79 Summer Shootout bigger and better."

Each of the Sprint main events this year will pay $5,000 to win.

Dale Blaney captured the victory at Eriez in 2016.  Sheldon Haudenschild, Cap Henry, Cole Duncan and Chad Kemenah completed the top five.  Mother Nature claimed last year's event at Pittsburgh's Pennsylvania Motor Speedway.  Kraig Kinser made a fantastic move on Haudenshild to steal the victory in the final turn of the final lap at Tri-City Raceway Park.  Tim Shaffer, Brent Marks and Henry rounded out the top five.

This year's All Star Circuit of Champions has a strong Western PA contingent as Brandon Matus, Brent Matus, John Garvin, Jr. and Brandon Spithaler are all vying for the Series' Rookie of the Year crown.

Remember to mark the Second Annual I-79 Summer Shootout on your calendar as it is one of the area's must see events of 2017.
