CREATION CARE SUNDAY - APRIL 23rd
Thanks to the leadership of our Creation Care/Environmental Stewardship team, chaired by Dorothy Lundahl, we will give thanks for God's good Creation in a special Creation Care liturgy on Sunday, April 23rd.  Everyone is encouraged to consider the impact we make on the earth and how we might soften that impact, even in our worship.  So, carpool, walk, or ride your bike to worship if you'd like.

WELCOME HARBOR CHURCH
On April 23rd, Harbor Church, a Christian Reformed Congregation, will begin worshiping at 9:00am in the Fellowship Hall.  We are delighted to welcome these sisters and brothers in Christ!  Watch for future opportunities together for learning, service, and fellowship.

HOUSING NEWS!
Final plans for the affordable housing have been submitted to the city just ahead of a public comment forum in either May 1st or May 15th (the City of Seattle is having some scheduling challenges!)  But LMLC is invited to a first look on Sunday, April 30th, at 9am in the Fireside Room.   Until then, our prayers remain with those families and individuals who have no shelter.

From Pastor Julie -
Beloved Community,

It is truly an amazing thing, this Earth, our island home.  It is what God created and gave to us to steward.  God gave it to us so that we would care for it.  I like to think of it as God crafting an amazing work of art and telling us that we needed to take care of it.  When put in those terms, perhaps we would make some different decisions every day.

Luther Memorial has an active and relatively new (2014) Earth Ministry Team.  Currently Laurie Baughman, Mary Hinderliter, and Dorothy Lundahl do this important work.

This Sunday Luther Memorial will observe Creation Care Sunday.  Come and give thanks for what God has made!

See you in church,
Pastor Julie+

Sunday's Scripture Readings:
