Working for the weekend
The Tech Community Gives Back to Solve Community Challenges

For the Eugene tech industry, there is a clear dedication and passion for the field that cannot be contained to a 5-day work week and thus many spent the second weekend in April giving their time and talents to create solutions to needs locally in the 2nd Annual Hack-for-a-Cause.

The solutions developed recently specifically impact the safety of our downtown. The Eugene Chamber was excited to participate as one of the nine challenges in the event orchestrated by the  Technology Association of Oregon. Two teams took on the challenge with the development of an app focused on public safety and reporting in our downtown area.
