Power Hours

April 19: BOLD Conversation about Campus and Engineering Climate

This week's Power Hour will feature a community conversation on school climate led by Kenny Smith, Director of Partnerships in the BOLD Center. Please join us on Wednesday at 4 in the BOLD Center for this important conversation!
 

April 26: End of year BOLD Bash in the BOLD Center with ice cream!

May 3: STUDY BREAK with Epic Cereal Bar!

Financial Aid information for ASSET/DACA students

The Office of Financial Aid has updated their web page for Undocumented (ASSET/DACA) students.  
 
There is now an institutional application for these students to apply for financial aid instead of using the FAFSA.

Denver March for Science April 22

Denver's March for Science will take place on April 22 from 10 am - 3pm, beginning at Denver's Civic Center Park. More information can be found here.



Race for Water 5k run fundraiser 

A group of CU Engineering students with Engineers Without Borders Paraguay are holding a 5k fundraiser to fund a project to provide clean drinking water to the indigenous community Yvy Katu in rural Paraguay.

The race will take place on April 22 at 10 am at Duane Field on the CU campus.

Separations & Commercialization REU at University of Arkansas

The Separations & Commercialization REU program will offer research experiences in laboratories that are working towards the goals of improving separation efficiency and reducing separation processing costs to a diverse group of undergraduate students. Participants will interact with faculty and graduate students to plan and execute a 10-week research project.

Student-to-Student Software Mentorship Program

Applying for an engineering position or web service company? Want engineering and leadership experience to put on your resume? The OIT is searching for student software mentors. 

A program is being created to pair upperclassmen with first-year students in a formal mentoring program in order to improve the first-year experience and provide for direct exploration. Looking for people who would be interested in joining this program.

Mentoring Opportunity Summer 2017

Do you need some extra help in the lab? Do you want experience being a mentor? Would an extra $750 help you during the summer? You might be perfect for the Summer Mentoring program through CU Science Discovery.  Every summer, Science Discovery brings High Students from around the world to participate in a Research Experience and we are currently recruiting labs to host them. This program runs from July 5th to July 28th, 2017.

If you are single mother, you may qualify for a number of different grant types, depending on your circumstances. The amount of funding you can receive from need-based grants or scholarships for single moms can vary considerably, ranging from as little as $100 to full tuition coverage.
