Lincoln Common Groundbreaking Set for May 4
The Lincoln Common development at 2300 N. Lincoln is set to break ground on Thursday, May 4. Developers McCaffery Interests and Hines are transforming the former site of Children's Memorial Hospital into a 6.04 acre mixed-use development featuring two luxury apartment buildings with a total of 538 units, approximately 92,000 square feet of retail and up to 60 low-rise condominium residences. Additionally, the development will provide the community with more than 57,000 square feet of accessible open space, including a landscaped central plaza, gardens, fountains and a children's play area.


North Branch Industrial Corridor Updates
The Department of Planning and Development has scheduled two last open houses to gather public comment on the North Branch Industrial Corridor Framework Plan and Design Guidelines. A draft of this plan is available online . The open houses are scheduled for Tuesday, April 18 from 3:00 - 6:00 p.m. in Room 1003-A at City Hall, 121 N. LaSalle St., and 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. next Tuesday, April 25 at St. John Cantius Church, 825 N. Carpenter St.

Town Hall Set with Rep. Ann Williams
Join State Representative Ann M. Williams on Tuesday, April 18 from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. for a Spring town hall meeting at the Lincoln-Belmont Chicago Public Library (1569 W. Melrose). She'll provide an update from Springfield, take questions and hear from you as to your priorities and concerns.

Goldman Sachs 10K Small Businesses: Apply for Cohort 19!
Since December 2011, City Colleges of Chicago, in partnership with Babson College in Boston, has been offering the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Business program to small business owners in the Chicagoland area and across the nation. To date, the Chicago site has helped nearly 500 small business owners develop a growth plan to take their company to the next level through job creation and revenue growth. We offer three cohorts per year hosting 30-35 small businesses owners per cohort in a 15 week curriculum taught by the amazing faculty at City Colleges of Chicago.

Applications are now being accepted for Cohort 19 which starts on Friday, 9/8/2017. The application deadline is June 13th.
