 The Puesta del Sol Nominated Committee is proud to present our slate of Nominees for the open PTA Executive Board positions for the 2017-18 school year, to be voted on at the April 27th General Meeting.

Order Your Reflections Best in Show Blank Card Set!
|
|
|
 The Bellevue PTSA Council is pleased to announce a Puesta del Sol student's art was chosen for the Reflections Program Best in Show card selection.
The art piece: Jazzy by Nadia M. was chosen by popular vote to be in the card set. The PTSA council sells these cards to raise funds to allow students in the Bellevue School District to participate in the PTA National Reflections program and to start offering classes at various elementary and middle schools this Fall in photography and film production to students at no cost.
Cards are $10 a set.
To order, submit the order form and drop off a check payable to "Puesta del Sol PTA" in the PTA Payments box in the front office by this Wednesday, 4/19.
The deadline is fast approaching, so please get your orders in ASAP so we can show Puesta del Sol's support of this great program!

The PTA Web Team is seeking a Junior Web Content Editor. We will train you!
This position will learn to make updates to the PTA website this spring and then take a more active role in late summer/early fall keeping website content up-to-date. The time commitment is ~2 hours/week, with some extra time needed the week before school starts, the first month of school, and o
n occasional website projects.

Science Fair Registrations Due This Week!

Registration deadline is Saturday, 4/22.
Register here then use the many online resources to find a project idea and plan time during Spring break to do research for your awesome projects! As in years past, having one parent or guardian volunteer at or before the event is mandatory if your student is participating. Register to volunteer online.

Academic Challenge is Due April 28!
|
|
|
There will be a collection box in the main office 4/24 - 4/28!
 All entries must be stapled together or in an envelope and must include the mandatory final submission form! This form tells us which categories your student completed such as: math, reading reviews, science fair, passport club, reflections etc.
Please remember that ABSOLUTELY NO LATE work will be accepted, with the exception of Science Fair which takes place on May 10. If you plan on doing Science Fair you must check the box on your final submission form indicating your participation, otherwise you will not receive credit towards Academic Challenge.

Library News: Spanish Book Fair Next Week!
|
|
|
The annual Spanish Book Fair, sponsored by the University Book Store, will begin
Monday, 4/24 and run through Thursday, 4/27
. The Book Fair will be primarily Spanish books for all ages, as well as some of the latest English titles. There will also be books by our visiting author, Kirby Larson, who will be seeing students in 2nd - 5th grade on Tuesday, 5/2.

PUESTA DEL SOL'S 30TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION KICK-OFF
|
|
|
Welcome all alumni, past and present teachers, parents and supporters of the school (all attendees must be over 21)!
Our 30th Anniversary Celebration kick-off will take place on Friday, 6/2 from 7-11pm at Vasa Park Ballroom Barn (560 W Lake Sammamish Pkwy SE, Bellevue, WA 98008).
Tickets will be $25 per person (includes dinner and entertainment). Online ticket sales will be available on the PTA homepage soon!
