Testimony from DAB III Youth Member Emillia Winterhalter
I'm proud to have lived in Wichita for all 18 years of my life. Currently I am a Wichita South High senior involved in AVID, JROTC, Student Leadership, and both the Swim and Tennis team. I serve as Treasurer of the National Honors Society and Co-chair of the Legislative Committee on the Mayor's Youth Council. It was my involvement in the Mayor's Youth Council that sparked my interest in municipal government and desire to become a DAB III member. I enjoy being a part of my city and a voice for District III teens. I will be attending Brigham Young University in the Fall, majoring in political science with a goal of going to law school. I hope to return to Wichita and District III after college.

COMING SOON...

LOAD 'EM UP AND GET 'EM OUT...
Sedgwick County is off ering free tire disposal for residents on
April 14 & 15.  (Businesses can dispose for free on April 13) .  Load up all those tires before the mosquito season gets h ere.  Tires stacked outside tend to hold water and make for an ideal breeding ground for mosquitoes.  And if they are in your garage, spiders and other insects will find them a handy place to lay their eggs.   Just take them to the Sedgwick County Waste Yard at 4701 S West St. , but be prepared to wait in line just a short while.  This is a very popular event.  Click here to read the details, or to have a printable poster.
Thank you Sedgwick County!
