Chesterwood Announces 2017 Season
The summer home, studio, and gardens of Daniel Chester French,
America's foremost sculptor of public monuments opens May 27 through Oct. 9
Chesterwood, the summer home, studio and gardens of America's foremost sculptor of public monuments, Daniel Chester French (1850-1931) opens for the season on May 27 through Oct. 9. French is best known for his sculptures of the Minute Man (1871-75) and the seated figure of Abraham Lincoln (1911-22) for the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C.
Situated on 122 acres in the idyllic hamlet of Glendale near Stockbridge, Mass., the property and its buildings were donated to the National Trust for Historic Preservation by French's only child Margaret French Cresson (1889-1973). Dear Friend of Pulse,
Spring arrives and with it the anticipation of many galas and annual performances,
including Berkshire Pulse's joyous dance showcase on May 27th
and 28th celebrating the hundreds of students who study ballet, jazz, tap,
modern, Hip Hop, Afro-Caribbean and more.
When you advertise in Berkshire Pulse's annual performance program, you
gain exposure to 600 parents and friends who attend the matinees in the
Daniel Arts Center at Simon's Rock in Great Barrington.
Because proceeds from this event fund the Tuition Assistance Fund, your
contribution helps make dance and the performing arts accessible to all who
require financial assistance to participate.
There are three FULL COLOR ad sizes:
$100 Business Card
$250 Half Page
$500 Full Page*
*Full-page advertisers receive two free tickets to the performance.
Please support this vital community arts organization and plan to attend one
of the Memorial Day weekend performances. It's a real treat!
Sincerely,
Diane Pearlman
Pulse Board Chair

Wedding Season is All Year Round
|
I have been a Massachusetts licensed Justice of the Peace since 2008. It is one of the best things I have
ever done. During these past nine years, I have had the pleasure to officiate at many weddings and elopements as well as vow renewal ceremonies. Some have occurred at The Rookwood Inn, while others have been in places like the top of Jiminy Peak, MassMoCA, Chesterwood, other inns around the Berkshires, and some in private homes and rentals. Each one has been a unique ceremony and the couples amazing and different. If you, or someone you know is interested in eloping, marrying or renewing vows, please get in touch with me. I would love to help you have your dreams come true.
