April Drives Collect Cars Full of Undies!
Last month, Alex used his spring break to collect new socks and underwear along with winter gloves/hats and lots of new clothing for Clothes To Kids shoppers.
The project became a family affair when his mom and his older brother pitched in to advertise the collection and pick up donations. Alex and his dad even built a special Undie 500 car to promote the drive!
The team at BMW of Downtown Denver held an amazing Undie 500 during the month of April, offering customers a steep service discount in return for packages of new underwear and socks. They completely filled the i3 in their showroom with donations!
Most recently, the team at Mountain States Toyota joined in on the Undie 500 fun, and is currently offering $5.00 off service for 1 package of underwear or socks or $10.00 off you bring in 2 or more packages.
Our shoppers are so grateful for every pair donated at these and other Undie 500 drives. Thank you!

Generous guests gave more than $28,000, $20,000 of which was matched dollar for dollar by the Olson-Vander Heyden Foundation.
Special thanks to our luncheon speakers Arzelle Lewis, Joyce Meyers, Barbara Howie, Crystal Purcell and Nik Stoffel for an inspiring presentation and to Bill and Sandy Arnold for their impromptu addition to our program!

"I have referred several of our 'Littles' since our meeting together, and I just wanted to reach out again and say THANK YOU for all that you do for our community. Every family we have referred has come back with such positive things to say about their experience. Kids of Denver are so lucky to have people like you and your staff in their corner. Plus, you make my job and any clothing resource requests extremely easy. Thanks for all you do!"

Clothes To Kids of Denver on the Air
One of our ongoing goals is to get the word out about how we serve low-income and in-crisis students throughout the Denver Metro Area. That's why we are so grateful for the continued support of Escuelas Publicas De Denver Radio (EDUCA), AM 1090.
Last week EDUCA Radio hosted our Program Coordinator, Doria Barajas, on their live show, where she had the opportunity to talk about the students we serve and the difference we can make in their academic success by providing them with appropriate clothing.
