Merry Christmas everyone.  I pray that the coming of our Lord and the assurance of our salvation through Him brings you a peace which surpasses understanding.  The amazing thing that God has done for us supersedes everything that could separate us from God.  The mystery of this miracle has been revealed and given to us with the promise that God has given us the protection of his grace now and forever.

 

And so, on a very personal and intimate level I invite you to consider that whatever struggles you have in your life, whatever anxieties or fears you may carry with you, that you can know that this cosmic peace is not out of reach.  The fullness of what God has done means that in the moments when we feel most alone, He is with us. In those quiet moments of difficulty, God is incarnate with you.  He has come so that he can always be with us in this world and so we can be assured we will come home to Him in the next.

 

The Christmas miracle is probably most felt in the moments throughout the year that are far from the Christmas holidays.  We carry this promise of present grace every day.  May we have a year ahead full of the incarnate love of God.
