MAY IS FOSTER CARE MONTH

We can't begin to express how grateful we are for your heart, gifts and prayers for the children and youth in foster care. Your partnership is necessary to ensure that each child receives the necessary medical, educational, spiritual and loving support so vital.

Here are a few ways to make a difference in the lives of children and youth when it comes to foster care.

1. Pray for Compact Staff and Their Ministry to Families.

Go to http://www.compactfamilyservices.org/get-involved/pray for a 30 day prayer guide.

2. Become a Project Partner.

Perhaps you are part of an organization or ministry that would like to partner with us in ministry. Connect with us at info@compactfamilyservices.org

3. Volunteer.

Each year we have several teams, coming from across the country, who make Compact part of their mission. Teams do repairs, renovations, painting, cleaning and more to beautify the campus. Call 501-262-1660 for more info.

4. Sponsor an Entire Cottage of Children.

For $30 a month you can sponsor a cottage full of children or youth. Call Rhonda at (501) 262-1660 for information on how to get set up.

5. Become a Foster Care Family.

To take that first step, email us at  info@compactfamilyservices.org.

Please continue to pray for the children, youth, staff, and ministry!  God is redeeming fatherlessness and family...one by one.  Opportunities of hope, healing, forgiveness, and life abound during the summer months of ministry through camps, trips, services, and more.

Thank you for caring,
Jay Mooney, Executive Director

MINISTRY CENTER ROOF UPDATE
Great news! The Ministry Center roof is not only completed but completely paid for! Thanks to the gifts from generous donors, who gave the needed $147,000, we now have a roof that no longer leaks.

A LEGACY GIFT FOR OUR KIDS

A huge THANK YOU goes out to Dr. Don Howard for ensuring that each child received a Magic Springs pass this year. Dr. Howard was a volunteer doctor on our campus for six years.

Dr. Howard started seeing children at Hillcrest in July 2007 to address mental health evaluations. He worked through Stepping Stone Mental Health Clinic which would later become Arkansas Counseling and Psychodiagnostics (ACaP). He was always excited to come on to the campus at Hillcrest every Tuesday afternoon.

He seemed to take a special interest in the Hillcrest children and worked closely with David Todd and Cindy Sparks in offering the best possible treatment for the children at Hillcrest. After Dr. Howard fully retired from practicing medicine in 2014, he asked daily about the children at Hillcrest and remained very concerned but hopeful of success with the children at Hillcrest.

Recently Dr. Howard passed away. As one of his final requests he asked his family to make sure each and every child be given a ticket to Magic Springs.

We are forever grateful for Dr. Howard's generosity and his legacy will forever leave a mark in the hearts of our staff and kids.

COMPACT BIRTHDAYS
Birthday cards are always a treat for our kids on campus.  Please consider taking a few moments and sending a birthday blessing and word of encouragement to the following ones celebrating next month.

If you would like a full birthday list as opposed to waiting on this report each month, contact our office and we will get one for you.  Thank you for your continued support in making each of these kids feel special on their birthday.
