This Week at BayMarin, May 14, 2017
No Service this Week

There will be no Sunday Gathering this week in Marin as we will be away on the Bay Marin Retreat at Alliance Redwoods.
Stories from Matthew 9
During Lent we explored the healing miracles of Jesus in Matthew 8 & 9. There were some stories in Matthew 9 we did not cover, so for the next few weeks we will continue through Matthew 9 leading up to our Summer Kick-off on May 28. We will look more deeply at who Jesus is, why he came, and the ways in which he invites us to join in his kingdom movement. We'll explore the Jewish Messianic expectations of the 1 st  century, how those expectations were accurate in some ways and misguided in others. We'll be challenged to ask ourselves in what ways might our own Messianic expectations of Jesus be misguided by our own presuppositions and broken desires? How do we join Jesus in living the full kingdom life he came to inaugurate?
Rummage Sale

We're hosting a rummage sale on May 20 from 8am-1pm in the Student Center parking lot. We will have sign ups on Sunday for anyone who would like to volunteer to help with the sale.

Please bring any gently used items by the Student Center you would like to donate.  The best drop-off time is Sunday before or after church. If you need to coordinate another drop-off time please contact Bryan.

All proceeds from the rummage sale go to benefit our Outreach Partners.

Summer Kick-Off

Join us for our Summer Kick-off on May 28. We will celebrate our children and youth who are "graduating" into a new season of life. We will do this at our Sunday morning service at 10am where we will also begin a series on Joy and Phronéō - A Way of Thinking, Feeling and Acting, as we jump back into Philippians to wrap up that series. After the service we will have a potluck and celebrate baptisms at the home of Brian and Stacey Kaplan. Mark your calendars. We hope to see you there!

Prayer Requests

At BayMarin, prayer is a vital part of community life. We have three different teams of people who pray for the prayer requests that are submitted. Please share your prayer request with us  here.
Faith Community Opportunities

Our Faith Communities are our small groups - where church really happens as people live life together on a regular basis. We are looking for folks who would be willing to help lead and or host a Faith Community. If you are interested in learning more or joining a Faith Community, please contact Bryan.
