Legendary Lights: Landmark Theatre Gala

The Landmark Theatre's premier fundraiser, the Legendary Gala presents an opportunity to enjoy a spectacular evening of live music, fine dining and entertainment at the historic Landmark Theatre. Artwork created by local artists and inspired by the Landmark Theatre and Downtown Syracuse will be available for silent auction.

Guests may one enjoy one the following packages:

The Syracuse Crunch defeated the Toronto Marlies in the first two games of the best-of-seven North Division Finals series, but fell to the Marlies in Game 3 and Game 4 to knot the AHL playoff series 2-2. The Crunch will play the Toronto Marlies for Game 5 on Saturday, and again on Monday, May 15. If necessary, the Crunch will face the Marlies for final game of the series on Wednesday, May 17. If they win, they will continue to the third round in the Calder Cup playoffs!

Now Open: 
Darwin on Clinton
New location at 110 W. Fayette Street

Darwin on Clinton is open for business in One Lincoln Center!  The iconic sandwich shop serves lunch from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm, and starting next week, it will open earlier to serve coffee and breakfast.   This summer,  Darwin on Clinton will extend its hours for customers to enjoy an early dinner, or take it on the go. You may remember, Darwin on Clinton recently  relocated to One Lincoln Center, located at 110 W. Fayette Street ( map). Renovations in the new space took about a month.

Progress Underway at the New Redhouse Arts Center
Projected to Open in March, 2018 

Construction on the Redhouse Arts' new theater in the former Sibley's Building is officially underway! Crews are at work drilling holes in the attached parking garage in order to support the rigging equipment for the larger of the center's two performing stages (see photo to the right). The Redhouse is slated to have a "soft opening" in March, 2018, with plans to hold a formal ribbon-cutting ceremony in late May or early June of 2018.

Washington Street Paving
Washington Street closed between S. Clinton and S. Franklin Streets

For your planning and travel purposes, Washington Street through Downtown Syracuse will be under construction for the next four to six weeks. Crews are currently working on the stretch between Clinton Street and Franklin Street, which will be closed for the next several days. Expect construction work between  7:00 am and 7:00 pm. The intersections along Washington Street will remain open, however, motorists may experience delays when crossing Washington Street in the construction zone. Second Expansion Planned for the Amos Building
Proposing to add an additional 40 apartments to the west side of the building

The owners of the Amos Building have plans to expand again! The owners want to add six stories to the western side of the building, which would bring an additional 40 units and 80 parking spaces to the site. You may remember, last year the Amos added four stories to the eastern side of the building.

The original structure was built in 1878, and held a prominent role in the Erie Canal's Hey Day. The current owners bought the building in 2005 and created 19 apartments and retail space.
