TSheets Continues to Strengthen the Idaho Tech Community
This December, TSheets time tracking and scheduling officially announced it signed a definitive agreement to be acquired by Intuit Inc. The news came just six months after TSheets, an 11-year-old, Idaho-born SAAS company, moved its offices to Eagle’s Lakemoor development. Despite fears the company would have to relocate to Intuit’s Silicon Valley headquarters, TSheets CEO Matt Rissell has assured the community TSheets’ offices, people, and culture aren’t going anywhere.

When news of the pending acquisition broke, all current TSheets employees were guaranteed employment. The company even doubled down on its promise to continue growing, hiring, and retaining the best local talent. TSheets has committed to filling their currently unoccupied third floor with another 100 employees over the next 12-18 months. And bringing a tech giant like Intuit to the Treasure Valley affirms Rissell’s belief that a tech company can thrive in rural America.

“Our mission to help small businesses succeed will continue, and we’re going to do it together from right here in Eagle, Idaho,” Rissell said in an open letter to the community. “We’re proud of our roots and to call Eagle, Idaho, our home. Once we’re an Intuit company, we will continue to be a part of — and invest in — our local economy, adding jobs and continuing our community involvement.”

TSheets, a long-time Intuit partner, will be joining Intuit’s Time Capture division to expand the company’s offerings to small and midsize businesses, the self-employed, and accounting professionals. Intuit’s previous acquisitions include tax preparation software TurboTax and personal finance app Mint.
