Cornelia Connelly School will host an Admissions Information Night on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. for prospective families interested in providing their daughter with a Connelly education. While this evening is designed for prospective students, current Connelly families seeking tuition assistance information are welcome to attend the Tuition Assistance portion of the event . After the Tuition Assistance portion of the evening concludes, prospective families will learn more about scholarship opportunities and the admissions process.

Our Student Shuttle Program is an affordable service that provides a safe, convenient way for your daughter to attend Connelly. In addition to the round trip and one-way option, we also have a "drop-in" option possibility. For more details, including pricing, please click on the links below.

We currently looking for a driver for Monday and Friday for the Irvine/Tustin/Anaheim route.

Friday, January 12 , we will be celebrating Cornelia Connelly's birthday with a special birthday Mass at 9:25 a.m. and celebration during the day. Please note this is a formal uniform dress day.

Tri-School Theatre's Comedy Sportz will be practicing Friday, January 12, from 3:30-5 p.m. at Servite in the Tri-School Studio (Room 301). 
PSAT Scoreback Night

The PSAT scores are available for students who have taken the test this October. Parents will be receiving a letter that provides information on the PSAT scores. Connelly will be hosting a Tri-School PSAT Scores Back Night for our freshman, sophomores, juniors, and their parents on Tuesday, January 16 @ 7 p.m. We will focus on the PSAT score interpretations and next steps for preparing for college entrance exams such as SAT and ACT. Please bring a laptop or tablet to access the full online PSAT score report as part of the discussion at the meeting. The access code is on the paper PSAT score report. If you plan to attend, students are to sign up on Family Connection/Naviance or sign up with Mrs. Tran Ryan by January 12.

The Application Deadline for Tuition Assistance for the 2018-2019 school year, is Friday, February 2, 2018. Please remember that each family who is interested in applying for Tuition Assistance needs to reapply each year. Late applications will not be considered, so please be mindful of the February 2nd deadline, as it will arrive very quickly!

Family Connection/Naviance has new scholarship postings throughout the year. Check the program on a regular basis for new listings. Here are a few of the scholarships below:

The Dell Scholars Program 
Award Amount: $20,000 plus laptop and school supplies 
Deadline: 1/15/2018 
Dell Scholars are students who demonstrate their desire and ability to overcome barriers and to achieve their goals. Your application will be evaluated on your: individual determination to succeed; future goals and plans to achieve them; ability to communicate the hardships you have overcome or currently face; self-motivation in completing challenging coursework; demonstrated need for financial assistance. Minimum 2.4 GPA

CIF Spirit of the Sport Scholarship (one available for each sport season fall, winter and spring) 
Award amount $1,000 
Deadlines: 1/22/18 (for winter sports), 2/26/18 (for spring sports) 
Student-athletes are selected based on exemplary sportsmanship, school/community service and leadership. Each winner receives a patch, award, a $1,000 scholarship, and will be recognized at the year-end CIF Federated Council dinner in April. www.cifstate.org 

The Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarship
 
Award Amount: $28,000 (spread over 4 years) 
Deadline: 2/01/2018 
Applicants must be a graduating minority high school senior with plans to attend an accredited and approved four-year institution within the United States. Must show leadership potential and demonstrate a dedication to community service. Must be able to present evidence of financial need and be a United States citizen. It is required to have a minimum SAT score of 1,000 combined on the math and critical reading sections or a composite ACT score of 21. Must not possess a degree from a 2 or 4-year college when applying for the scholarship *Award is spread out over 4 years. www.jackierobinson.org

There are a variety of practically painless fundraisers to benefit Connelly that you can participate in without even realizing it. Simple weekly shopping trips to Ralphs and/or Target can raise money for Connelly. You can also register various grocery and store cards with eScrip.com to earn a 1-4% return for Connelly. Ralphs Community Contribution Program - Raise funds for Connelly each time you shop at Ralphs. The school earns 1-4% of your purchase.
