On behalf of our staff and the board of directors, we want to take a moment to say
thank you. Your generosity, continued support, and love for this community make what we do at the Community Foundation possible. We exist for the betterment of DeKalb County and for the people who call it home.

Surpassed $50 million in charitable assets
Over $2 million in grants and scholarships awarded
Provided $59,000 in economic development support to three DeKalb County communities
20 new charitable funds created to support DeKalb County
Give DeKalb County raised $466,878 for our nonprofits

We look ahead to 2018 with great excitement as your Community Foundation enters its 25th year.What started as an idea in 1992 has led to over $25 million distributed in grants and scholarships through 25 years of donor generosity and endowment. During 2018, we have several activities planned to celebrate, thank, and give. We hope you and your family will join us in these anniversary celebrations.
We know that together with you, we're making a positive impact on DeKalb County.

Year-end Gifts to the Community Foundation
If you are considering a gift to the Community Foundation, here are a few options for giving:
Cash or check donation: An easy way to make contributions both large and small. Donations accepted online, in person, or by mail.
Credit/Debit card donation: Using our secure online system, you can use any major credit card or debit card to donate.
Appreciated Stocks, Bonds, and Mutual Funds: The stock market continues to reach record highs! Do you have low cost basis stock that you could donate? By doing so, you receive a tax deduction for the current market value of the stock, and you do not have to pay capital gains tax on the appreciation.
IRA Charitable Rollover:An option for individuals age 70 ½ or older. Make the gift of a lifetime in your lifetime. Direct your RMD directly to the Community Foundation.
Life Insurance: Make a donation in the future by naming the Community Foundation as the beneficiary of a life insurance policy.
Estate Planning: Leave your charitable legacy by designating a gift to the Community Foundation in your will.
