EASTER WORSHIP PAINTING ON AUCTION THIS SUNDAY

VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT
April is National Volunteer Month.
Here in the DU Weekly, and on our
Facebook
page, we’ll be highlighting some of our members and volunteer teams who give time and heart in serving our church community.
This week we highlight Carol Currie, Bob Sloan and Ed Westmeyer, three "behind the scenes" volunteers who have earned MVP status for their service and dedication. You may not always see them at work but they make a big difference here at First Church!

OUR CARING COMMUNITY
All joy to Fran Eichorst and Phil Baewer on the birth of grandson Jack Alistair McCathren, born April 5th to daughter Allie McCathren and husband Rob.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Carol Riddle as she recovers from pneumonia, Billy McDonald, who entered hospice on Wednesday and Gerry Perkus who continues in hospice care.
We hold close those who have experienced loss this week: Theresa O'Donnell and Christa Downer who mourn Theresa's father, judge Bob O'Donnell who died on April 16th, Charles Crow, mourning the death of brother and congregant Tom Crow on April 15th, and Margaret Gillett and family as they grieve for Grover Gillett, church member of 49 years, who died on Thursday.
