NDTO Seeks New Executive Director

The North Dakota Trade Office (NDTO) seeks an imaginative, strategic, visionary leader to serve as its next executive director. Grow your Global Business Through the ExporTech Program

North Dakota companies often see growth opportunities in global markets, but lack the skill set and resources to make it happen. The result is reactively selling to international customers who find them, rather than taking a proactive and strategic approach to identifying their best opportunities. Customized training is needed in order to accelerate growth in global markets.  ExporTech is the "how-to" program that helps small- or medium-sized companies enter or expand into global markets by assisting in the development of an international growth plan customized specifically for a business.

Export Management Course Available Through NDTO and NDSU
 
The North Dakota Trade Office and North Dakota State University's Department of Agribusiness and Applied Economics collaborate each spring to bring you the course AGEC 371, Export Management. The Tuesday evening course prepares business professionals and students to create a basic action plan for your business in order to handle the hurdles of exporting.  Participants who complete the course will receive a Certificate of Export Management; new-to-export companies will leave with the tools to create an action plan for managing their own export business expansion into the global marketplace.

Global Entry Workshop Planned for February 13-15 in Fargo

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) will hold a Global Entry workshop February 13-15, 2018 in Fargo, ND.  Global Entry is a U.S. CBP program that allows expedited clearance for pre-approved, low-risk travelers upon arrival in the United States. Members enter the United States through automatic kiosks at select airports.  The U.S. CBP advises those interested in this program to apply ASAP so they can schedule an appointment once the Enrollment Center is opened in early January. All applicants need to be conditionally approved for Global Entry prior to scheduling an appointment, so please be sure to apply ASAP.
