                      December 2017

To all of our valued friends,

As we near the end of 2017, the Board of The FAWCO Foundation would like to express its gratitude for the support we have received from FAWCO member clubs, from individual members, and from FAUSA and its members. We hope that you are happy with the work that we have accomplished this year on your behalf: eight Education Awards were given, totaling $34,000, five Development Grants were awarded at $25,000. and we've disbursed $42,700 to the Target program so far this year - all this through the fundraising efforts of clubs, individuals and our Board's fundraising initiatives.

We are very grateful to have you all as our supporters, donors, sponsors and  friends, whether through charitable acts, goods or monetary donations.  Please let us know if you have any ideas or suggestions for ways in which we can improve our service to FAWCO clubs and FAUSA. Our mission is to support our shared philanthropic goal to improve the lives of women and children across the world. Remember...your projects, your passions, your Foundation!

On behalf of the Board, I wish you and your loved ones a wonderful holiday time and a peaceful new year.

With best wishes,
Suzanne

Education Awards and Development Grants

The Foundation Development Grant (DG) and Education Award (EA) applications are now being accepted!  Get on board NOW!

Since the Biennial Conference in Mumbai, the Foundation has been posting on Facebook and publishing articles about the DGs and EAs. I hope that all of you have seen at least one article in the many bulletins and newsletters or at least one Facebook post. That means the news is out that the applications are online and you know when the deadline for submission is (Pssst: January 27, 2018).

By now, you should have downloaded the relevant application and collected most of your information. DG applications require a Purpose of the Grant informational essay and EA applications require a Biography essay and a Purpose of Study essay.

Here are the application timeline tips for review:

There is still plenty of time to get yourself and/or your club organized and get your applications in on time. And please be sure to contact us if you have any questions regarding the Development Grants or Education Awards. Good Luck!

HOLIDAY GIVING

No matter what holiday you celebrate, where you celebrate or with whom you celebrate, gift-giving is always a heartwarming experience. But did you know that when you give a gift to a loved one, you can also give back to The FAWCO Foundation at the same time?

If you shop online, you can make a donation to The Foundation with every purchase you make when you shop on AmazonSmile or iGive

It's easy.  Before you shop, log in to either one of these sites and then simply shop as you normally would.  The Foundation receives a percentage of your purchase price. Your gift-giving benefits The Foundation's programs, improving the lives of women and children worldwide.
