Bonner & Prendie Students in the News
Take a look at some of the great things our students are doing!

Run B&P Run
As part of the "Run Rich Run" initiative through the NFL Network, the Care Cures (cancer awareness club) held a 40 yard dash challenge in an effort to raise money for St. Jude's Hospital. The NFL donates $1 to St. Jude's Hospital for every person that takes part in the run!  Maybe we didn't set world records for the 40 yard dash but caring for others by so many students and faculty was fantastic.

Willy Wonka Is a Hit!
The first performance in the new Anthony F. Frederico Class of '69 Auditorium was a hit with packed crowds for all five of the performances.  Thanks to all who came out and great job by the cast and crew!

Girl's Lacrosse is off to a Fast Start in 2017
Panda's lacrosse is off to a great start in the early part of the 2017 season.  Take a look at the attached article on how things are going, and congratulations to Seniors Paige Brady, and Keely Weis for each notching their 100th career goals

Two Seniors Compete at the New Balance National Indoor Track Meet
On March 10-11, PCL Running MVP Ethan Cook and David Whitfield competed against athletes from across the country in New York. Cook '17 ran a 7.17 in the 60 meter dash while Whitfield '17 ran a 2:00.21 in the 800 meter run. Congrats to Ethan and David!

I open this letter with the hope of you and your family having had a happy and blessed Easter! As we continue moving toward the summer, we are nearing the end of another school year and continue to keep quite busy here at Bonner & Prendie. Spring remains to be an active season on campus this year for sure. For one, we had a successful Spring Show with our inaugural performance of Willy Wonka in the Anthony F. Frederico, Class of 1969 Auditorium. Guests were excited to sit in the comfortable seats and admire the new sounds, lighting, and general aesthetics that added a relaxed atmosphere for our guests as they watched our students perform. Our Spring athletic teams are in full swing with many of our individual athletes and teams having some great successes that you can read more about in the letter. And prom season is upon us as we prepare for our Junior and Senior Proms both happening in the next few weeks.

Graduation is also not that far off at this point for the Class of 2017. This year's ceremony will take place on Friday, June 9 at St. Joseph University's Michael J. Hagan Arena. Our commencement is typically at Villanova University but we had to change venues this year because of renovations being done to their arena. This year Bonner & Prendie will be sending 211 young men and women off to a number of colleges and universities, the armed forces and emergency service academies, and the working world. As of today, with only a quarter of the class reporting, the Class of 2017 has already earned $12,861,484 in college and universities scholarships and grants (this does not include financial aid)! Quite an impressive number when we still have many more students to report their awards. To give a comparison, the Class of 2016 ended last year with $17.4 million in scholarships and grants. I am confident we can surpass that number this year. Our students have been accepted to some impressive universities as well including the University of Notre Dame, Howard University, Virginia Tech, Purdue, and Villanova to name a few. I look forward to updating you on their continued successes in upcoming letters.

In staffing news, I would like to officially welcome two new members to our staff team here at Bonner & Prendie. First, earlier this month we officially welcomed Mr. Patrick Walsh (Class of 2012) as our new Director of Enrollment Management. Patrick steps in for Mr. Steve Clement (Class of 2006) who accepted a higher position at the Office of Catholic Education as Senior Director of Enrollment Management. Patrick is no stranger to Bonner & Prendie as the last few years he has been directing our Winter and Spring Dramas. Welcome Patrick and thank you Steve Clement for your service to Bonner & Prendie!
We also welcome Jalyn Johnson (Class of 2012) as the new Technology Specialist at Bonner & Prendie.  Look for more information on Jalyn in our next newsletter.  Welcome Jalyn!

As you read our newsletter you will see some of the many great programs, events, and opportunities happening within the Bonner & Prendie community. Hopefully you will have a chance to join us at one of our upcoming events.

As always, in closing, it is important to thank you for all the support you have continued to provide us. Whether you are talking about your positive experiences while at our school, or wearing some gear with our name on it, you are helping us spread the story of the uniqueness and sense of family we encompass here at Bonner & Prendie. Many of you have also contributed to our Annual Appeal, which has in turn provided the opportunity for our students to share in that experience. If you have not participated in our Annual Appeal, it is my hope that you will consider doing so. Regardless, I thank you for your consideration, dedication, and commitment to our community. We are grateful to your continued support!
Thank you and God Bless,

Support the 2016-2017 Annual Appeal

We Need your Help!

We are in the final stretch of our annual appeal, with two months to go!  Join with thousands of other alumni and friends of Bonner & Prendie in supporting our students with a gift to the 2016-2017 Annual Appeal.

The Annual Appeal is the #1 fundraising priority of the school, it allows us to address immediate needs of the school.  Donations to the Annual Appeal provide tuition assistance to students and families in need. The Annual Appeal also helps fund student programs, academic initiatives, and campus needs.

Thanks so much for the consideration and support

 Bonner & Prendie Admissions Update

Patrick Walsh '12 named Director of Enrollment Management.

Bonner & Prendie is excited to announce that Patrick Walsh '12 has been named the new Director of Enrollment Management. Patrick is no stranger to Bonner & Prendie, as the last few years he has been directing our Winter and Spring Dramas.  A graduate of Villanova University where he majored in English, Patrick also directs plays at a number of local schools, including an upcoming show this summer at Upper Darby's Summer Stage. He is involved in several local parishes as well.

In returning to his alma mater as Director of Enrollment Managment, Patrick had this to say, "I am thrilled to be returning to the building that ignited my passions. I am elated to be working towards the continued growth and success of the Bonner & Prendie community."

The space has undergone improvements that include installation of 900 new seats, upgraded lighting and sound, installation of new acoustical sound clouds, a renovated stage, new flooring and doors, a full paint job, and brand new window and stage curtains. It is a remarkable transformation, which is evident as soon as you walk in the building.

Support of ANY amount is appreciated, and will directly go to help with the overall project costs.

Donations made at the $1,000 level and above will be honored with acknowledgements in the auditorium. These naming opportunities (ranging from gifts of $1,000 to $50,000) can be made over multiple years and encompass a variety of options - for more information on naming opportunities contact Scott Fremont '98 at [email protected] or 610-259-6012.
