Spring has Sprung at YQF

Spring is in full swing here at YQF with plenty of activity happening on and off the airfield including a steady increase in our weekly charter activity, Air Canada scheduled traffic and many of our business tenants gearing up for a busy season ahead. It's hard to believe that April 30th will officially mark my first 6 months here as the CEO of Red Deer Airport, but I can honestly say it has been a pleasure meeting and working with the various community stakeholders that continue to support the airport moving into 2017.

We have a busy month ahead with our Annual Public Meeting coming up on May 4th at the Black Knight Inn (registration details can be found below). Come and learn more about our 2017 business objectives, including a future terminal/parking lot expansion and the possibility of attracting additional scheduled passenger service to Red Deer. You can even enter to win 1 of 3 flight tours of Central Alberta with our two flights schools -  Sky Wings and Montair Aviation.

Another exciting event that we have coming up is  our Runway Grand Opening & Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Friday, May 12th at 11:00am at the Airport. We are proud to celebrate the completion of this milestone project with our key partners at the Provincial Government, The City of Red Deer and Red Deer County. We encourage all to attend the celebration and enjoy a first hand look of the runway and new holding bay with a complimentary tour. We hope to see you there!
