When the dust settles after Easter, many return to their daily routine and leave their faith aside. So what are we to do after the hype of Easter is over? Do we just go about doing the same things that we have been doing leading up to Easter? Or does the experience of Easter change us and shape our living? Or does it at least refresh our standing commitment to our faith?

Join us on Sunday, April 23rd and April 30th, as we explore the answers to these questions.

Worship with us at 9am or 10:30am. Childcare and Sunday School/ Youth Group classes available.

*Youth Group meets during the 10:30am service.

Groups Banner
Small groups are one important way to grow deeper in relationships with God and with one another. We learn to know Christ more and how to follow him in word and deed in the context of community. Joining a small group is such a vital and easy way to get to know others in the church, establish friendships and grow in Christ in a more relaxed setting. Sometimes participating in a group can help you determine if joining a church in Denver is for you.

Adoption Connections | Leaders: Gwen & Tim Vogelzang
Fourth Friday of every month, 6:15 - 8pm, in the Parlor
We welcome Platt Park members as well as anyone outside the church body who has ties to the world of adoption.  Whether you've adopted internationally, domestically, through foster care, you're considering adoption, you were adopted, you placed a child for adoption...everyone is welcome. Bring dinner and eat as a family at 6:00pm if you wish!  Our formal time together will begin at 6:30 when we will share journeys, discuss adoption related topics, and grow in community. Childcare provided (starting at 6:30).

Evening Edition: "Live Like It Is All True" | Leaders: Carol Schmidt & Heather Easter
Thursdays, 6:30 - 8:00pm in the Lounge
Do the people around us see evidence in our lives that we are passionate, devoted followers of Christ?  We will take a practical approach to Scripture and a variety of topics, with this question in mind:  "How would my life look different if I lived like _______ is really true?"  This group is for all women who are interested in having fun, making friends, and growing spiritually.  We will begin with a meal at 6:30pm.

"Lives of Unstoppable Hope: Living the Beatitudes" | Leader: Daniel Fusch
Sundays, 10:30am in the Lounge
We will explore what it means to live a life of blessing as we look at the Beatitudes in the gospel of Matthew.  We will consider the Greek meaning of the words written in the Scriptures for a deep and powerful study of the heart of God revealed to us in those verses.

"Love, Hate, and Jesus in the Gospel of John" | Leader: Sandy Laws
Sunday Mornings, 9:15 to 10:15 am in the Lounge
Jesus was fully human and he understood the range of human emotions from love to hate and everything in between. In this six-week study, we will look at nine notable characters in John's gospel and explore their emotional response to Jesus. Each of these characters, the World, Judas Iscariot, the Jewish Leaders and the High Priest, Pontius Pilate, Nicodemus, the Samaritan Woman, the Disciples and John the Baptist, has something to teach us today about humankind's response to Jesus.

Monday Night Men | Leader: Mark Bixler
First three Mondays of the month, 7:30pm in the Parlor
This group is open to all men. We will be doing a 9 Week Study on 1 & 2 Peter using the Study Guide "Courage in Times of Trouble" by John MacArthur. We will read and review the chapters together and have a lively discussion based around study questions. Light snacks will be provided.

Morning Edition | Leader: Lara Hedberg
Thursday mornings, 10:00am - 11:30am, in the Parlor
This group is open to all women.  We will experience the gospels personally through imaginative contemplation and other spiritual exercises.  Childcare is provided.

Platt Park Book Club | Leaders: Amy & Nate Stroeher
First & Third Tuesdays of every month, 6:00pm - 7:30pm in the Lounge
This trimester, we will be reading Blue Like Jazz, by Donald Miller.  Subtitled "Non-Religious Thoughts on Christian Spirituality", this is a collection of essays and personal reflections chronicling the author's growing understanding of the nature of God and Jesus, and the need and responsibility for an authentic personal response to that understanding.   We will divide the book into chapters and enjoy lively conversation based on discussion questions provided by the author.  Childcare provided.

"Simply Jesus" Discussion Group | Leaders: Cindy Haverland & Doug & Margie Kidd
First & Third Mondays of every month, 7pm - 8:30pm, @ the Kidd's home
This group will provide a conversational space that will inspire people to consider, wonder, and dialogue about the person, life and teachings of Jesus of Nazareth. We will watch video talks from the Simply Jesus Gathering by renowned Christian thinkers such as Carl Medearis, N.T. Wright, & Phillip Yancey, and enjoy conversation around discussion questions.

Sundays Fundays for Families | Leaders: Anne Coughlin, Susie Grade, Olivia Kosky
First Sunday of every month, 5:00pm in the Parlor
We invite all parents and families to join us for a time of community building and group discussion around the topics of parenting, faith and life. Childcare provided.

Wholehearted | Leader: Charlie Dodrill
First three Wednesdays of every month, 6:30-8pm in the Parlor
