Hello Bike Rally Friends
As you likely know by now, thanks to a pretty wide reaching social media campaign, an ambitious project is underway, and we need the help of the Bike Rally community to make it work. We've always moved forward with the energy and dedication of people like you, and this is no different.

Starting Monday at  6am, PWA's Friends For Life Bike Rally will be honouring PWA's 30th anniversary with a "spin-a-thon." It will be 30 hours for 30 years - so it's artfully named "Thirty 4 Thirty". We'll continually ride bikes on trainers, recruit, fundraise and engage with the media, at Nathan Phillips Square, with the Toronto sign and the reflecting pool right behind us. Through coordination with City Hall and the media, we're arranging a lot over those thirty hours, building towards a major media event at 12 noon on Tuesday, April 25. (We're hoping for big showing at that time, please come on down and bring a friend or ten.)

Thanks to the spectacular Bike Rally community, we've been able to pull together something amazing - and there are several ways we'd like you to help.

If you have two minutes: Share the social media pages. If you're on instagram, Twitter or Facebook, please share, like, retweet and regram anything and everything to do with this event. Invite your friends, encourage your family to come down and support us, and you can help us spread the word far and wide. #thirty4thirty #PWA #F4LBR

If you have an hour: Sign up to spin! This event is open to past, present and future riders, and we'll have 10 bikes on trainers (or you can BYOB - bring your own bike) and set it up on a trainer, and spin for an hour. We've got thirty hours to cover, and that's 300 slots for spinners, and we'd love to have you come down and help spread the PWA love. Wear a jersey or a tee shirt from a past year if you have one, and ride on!

If you have stuff: To make this magic happen we need trainers, and bikes. (Not your awesome tuned up special Rally bike, but maybe your commuter or winter bike?) If you have either to share, please email Trevor: We promise to take good care of it.
We could also use your bike lights, LED camping lanterns, glow sticks, or battery operated lights. We're going to try and make our event sparkle though the night.

If you have time, but you don't ride?: We still need you! Volunteer to help at our tents, or come by anytime and cheer riders on, talk about the Rally and PWA to passers-by, and make us look good on camera. Special times are noted here, but a smiling face down at the event is always going to be welcome, and if there's any community that can pull off a thirty hour party on bikes, it's ours!

For more information or to offer your much needed help, see the event page, or swing by Facebook, or email questions to [email protected].

Thirty hours for thirty years of PWA. Let's show Toronto what matters to us.

On July 30, 2017, more than 400 Riders and Crew will embark on either a 6-day 600 km journey from Toronto to Montréal or a 1-day 110 km journey from Toronto to Port Hope , both in support of people living with HIV/AIDS. PWA's Friends For Life Bike Rally is the sustaining fundraiser of the Toronto People With AIDS Foundation. The experience of the Bike Rally promises to have a profound impact on the lives of every participant.
