Entering The Story... An Invitation... And Really Good Food For A Cause

A Note From Pastor Linda

Some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to Jesus, "Teacher, order your disciples to stop." Jesus answered, "I tell you, if these were silent, the stones would shout out." ~Luke 19

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ~

On Sunday we venture into HOLY WEEK- a week filled with betrayal and desertion, suffering and abuse, ending with the death of an innocent man who cries out in despair. So why in the WORLD do we call this week HOLY?

Why in the world? Because this week we will experience God drawing near to us, becoming one of us, walking with us so that we might know that wherever we go, that whatever we do, that whatever is done to us- that God has been there, taking on human form, the Word made flesh. In Jesus, God understands and identifies with us. This is the GOOD NEWS of HOLY WEEK that the WORLD needs to hear. And more than hear- the WORLD needs to experience this GOOD NEWS of HOLY WEEK. Here are the details:

  • It begins on Palm Sunday where we will hear directly from the STONES- they will not be silent, they will cry out! The worship drama will draw each of us in as we sing "HOSANNA!" and shout "CRUCIFY HIM!".  Breakfast will be served from 8:30am-12noon; this is a fundraiser for our youth!
  • The drama continues with the Last Supper Worship Reenactment on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings at 7:30pm.
  • On Good Friday we return at 7pm and gather to remember Jesus' last words. Will death have the final word?

We call this HOLY WEEK- and it ends with a NEW beginning on EASTER morning.

This would be an amazing week to invite a friend to come and experience the drama and GOOD NEWS of HOLY WEEK with you.

See you in church!

 ~Pastor Linda

Lent Wednesday Services - 12pm & 6pm Services
March 1 - April 5

Mid-Week Lent Worship Services continue through April 5. We will focus our attention on Conversations With God: The Lord's Prayer. Most know it by heart, but do you really know what you are asking for in this mighty prayer that Jesus taught? Each week we will explore the Lord's Prayer to consider what it means in our daily lives. There is a service at noon, which is followed by a lunch and a service at 6pm with dinner from 5-6pm and education will follow each service on March 15, 22, 29 and April 5.
