Celebrating Employment First, DDD Announces Let's Get to Work! Event
In April 2012, Gov. Christie proclaimed New Jersey an Employment First State, meaning that competitive employment in the general workforce is the first and preferred post-education outcome for everyone in New Jersey.
The Division is excited to celebrate this important milestone with a day-long
Let's Get to Work!
event on Wednesday April 26, 2017, from 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM. This event at the Division's central office in Hamilton is an opportunity for individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities and their families to sign up for a one-on-one guidance session with an employment expert to assist them with their employment goals. Let's Get to Work! is open to individuals who are currently receiving DDD services and to individuals who are not yet 21 and/or not currently receiving DDD services.
With the Division's strong commitment to New Jersey's Employment First initiative, this is a great opportunity to learn about the wide variety of employment services available and to talk specifically about next steps that an individual can take on his/her employment journey.
Please share the

flyer with your networks and let's work together to make Let's Get to Work! a success!!
